Cellar Team

Elaine joined the wine industry in the fall of 2010 with her first vintage at Jackson-Triggs in Oliver, BC, after completing her graduate diploma in Oenology at the University of Adelaide in South Australia. She started worshipping at Blasted Church in December of 2010. Her previous education and work as a molecular biologist prepared her to easily take over running the lab, where she spends her time when she isn’t in the cellar working with the wine.

Colin has worked in the wine industry since 2003, getting his start at Sumac Ridge Estate Winery working in the warehouse and bottling line. He was a part of the 2003 harvest and enjoyed it so much that he travelled to Australia for the 2004 harvest and New Zealand for the 2005 harvest. In 2011, Colin joined the team here at Blasted Church and is enjoying the work and being home with his family every night.

Julie has come to Blasted Church to pursue a “second career” in the wine industry. She brings with her knowledge about the environment, and health and safety, and is currently taking courses on winemaking to learn the trick of the new trade. She is our “Jill of all trades”, and can be seen working in the cellar, the office, or the vineyard.
