Frequently Asked Questions
Where Can I Stay That is Close to You?
Penticton is the closest city, it’s about 15 minutes north of us and they have a large number of hotels, motels and B&Bs. Book early to avoid disappointment though, Penticton gets busy during Fall Festival. Here are a couple of links to help you find a place. www.bedandbreakfast.com, www.tourismpenticton.com
How Can I Buy Tickets?
All ticket sales go directly through Ticketweb, we do not have any for sale at the winery. Ticket price is $100, and that includes all the food you can eat, all the wine you can drink, free shuttle service to and from Penticton, and of course an amazing show by Ruthie Foster.

What Should I Wear?
We host the event in our barrel room and adjacent outdoor parking area. While we do have tents and space heaters, it can get pretty cold, so warm jackets and shoes are recommended.
Ruthie Foster’s Coming? Seriously?
Yes! We fly Ruthie and her band in from Texas and she rocks the house on both Friday and Saturday nights. She is a tiny little woman with a great big voice, and loves to interact with her audience. "Foster's voice is simply drop-dead gorgeous, and her ability to wrap it around any musical genre - blues, jazz, folk, funk, soul – she chooses just makes it that much more spell-binding." – Elmore www.ruthiefoster.com
Can I Bring a Lawn Chair?
Because of our space constraints and the large number of people who attend this event, we do not allow any chairs to be brought in. It is a standing, grazing event where you can move freely from the food table, to the wine table, to Ruthie’s stage in the Barrel Hall.
Can I Park my RV on Your Property?
Sorry, but no overnighters allowed. As well as being a business, this is also a private residence and the gates are closed after the last guest leaves.
What’s the Deal with the Shuttle Busses?
As a special service for people coming to the event, we arrange to have shuttle busses pick you up at the Trade and Convention Centre in Penticton, starting at 9pm. These shuttles are disguised as big yellow school busses and you can’t miss them as you exit the Grand Finale Consumer Tasting event. All you need to get on the bus is proof of ticket purchase for our Midnight Service event. These shuttles bring you directly to our door by 9:30 and then around midnight or so the first bus leaves the winery and will take you back to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
Is There Taxi Service?
Unfortunately, there is no taxi service available in Okanagan Falls. You would need to pre-arrange something with a Penticton taxi company.
Is There Space For Parking if I Drive Out There?
Because we have 4 big shuttle busses occupying our entire parking lot, we ask that you park your vehicle out by our gate and enjoy the short walk down our driveway to the event. Of course, if you have mobility issues, you are welcome to drive right up to the tents.
Is it Wheelchair Friendly?
Yes, absolutely. If you require assistance, please give us a call ahead of time and we will do everything we can to ensure your needs are met.
What Kind of Food Will Be Served?
Memphis Blues BBQ House serves up some awesome, stick-to-your-ribs southern style food. Endless ribs and boundless pulled pork, it is truly a meat-lovers meal. But don’t worry all you vegetarians -- salads, cornbread and vegetables are also served up in abundance. The food will be available as soon as our gates open at 9:30pm
Is Your Wineshop Open? Can I Buy Stuff?
Our wineshop is not open during the event; however a selection of Midnight Service sweatshirts and Ruthie Foster CD’s are available down by the wine table. After her performance, Ruthie usually takes time to sign them if you so wish. The CDs are $20 and the sweatshirts are $50, and all sales are cash only.

Giving Thanks after Midnight
A quick expression of gratitude to all of you who attended our 7th Annual Midnight Service event this weekend at the winery. We hope that you had as wonderful of a time as we did hosting you all.
Thanks to the band for such a phenomenal show! Ruthie Foster was fabulous as always. Samantha Banks on the drums was fantastic! And Tanya Richardson, on the bass guitar was just soooo cool.
Our appreciation also goes to the entire Memphis Blues crew, led by Andre Thomas, who prepared and served a mouth-watering feast of magnificent proportions. Big apologies those of you who had to face Turkey dinners the very next day!
We also wish to thank our own Blasted Church team for finding the time (right smack-dab in the middle of Harvest) to make everything perfect for the event in the cellar. Our superstar Event Coordinator, Subrina Monteith, meticulously thought and addressed every detail in order to make a wild success of the event. Thank you Subrina, ...you rock like Ruthie!
Big pats on the back are also due to our other event partners, Westminster Party Rentals and SPL Sound, and the volunteers from the Okanagan Falls United Church for gate control - you all did a great job!
For those of you who missed the shows, view the entire photo gallery online to tantalize you for next year!
Have a wonderful Fall Season!

Malbec + Syrah is our new Cross to Bear
When given the opportunity to acquire some opulent Malbec and Syrah grapes last year, our Winemaker, Richard Kanazawa jumped at the chance. Since then, he has been crafting a most exquisite wine for our Revered Series line-up. Named Cross to Bear, this blend is rich, moody, and highly memorable. We only have 96 cases to be shared amongst everyone, so a 2 bottle limit per customer is in place.

Introducing Blasted Church "Big Bang" red wine
As some of you Blasted Church fans might have learned, we are retiring the "Dam Flood" brand name in favour of "Big Bang" in this new vintage. A genuinely unorthodox creation of Gamay, Lemberger, Merlot and Marechal Foch that lives up to the new, and apropos name.
