Richard Kanazawa
Winemaker
A Langley native, Richard is a scholar from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. He refined his winemaking talents while at Australia's Simon Gilbert Wines and at MasterWinemakers in Yarra Yarra. Prior to joining Blasted Church, Richard was Head Winemaker at the Red Rooster Winery, here in the Okanagan Valley.
Richard loves to rib the staff with his great sense of humour. He’s also a “family man” with a lovely Shania Twain-esque spouse, Jennifer, and their two year old baby Ronin. … Lucky boys, both of them!
Don't be fooled by Richard's stocky, rugby-playing (and loving) physique. He's the one that reliably delivers refinement and finesse to our Blasted Church wines.
