Harvest Notes

Our 2011 Pinot Gris is a great representation of Okanagan Pinot Gris. The fruit used to make this Pinot Gris comes from our own Blasted Church Vineyards as well as vineyards in Kelowna, Oliver and Osoyoos. Each vineyard adds a unique character to the Pinot Gris blend. The 2011 vintage started slowly with cool spring temperatures. As harvest began the Pinot Gris ripened later than in previous years, but we were rewarded for our patience by letting the fruit hang to achieve maximum flavour.

Winemaking

Each parcel of fruit was vinted separately. Various strains of yeast were incorporated to achieve maximum flavour layering in the wine. All wines were fermented cool to retain flavour intensity.
