Julian Park of BC Wine Trends tasted some new releases from the 2025 Blasted Church lineup, and we’d like to thank him for his kind words.
“The first four releases of the season—Sauvignon Blanc, Unorthodox Chardonnay, Viognier and Blaufränkisch Rosé—not only celebrate the return of healthy vineyards but also showcase the bright fruit, vibrant acidity and remarkable balance that define the 2025 vintage,” writes Julian.
Sauvignon Blanc 2025 – 91 Points! “Bright aromas of gooseberry, Key lime and Meyer lemon introduce a vibrant, Bordeaux-inspired Sauvignon Blanc.”
Unorthodox Chardonnay 2025 – 90 Points. “Forget everything you think you know about Chardonnay. This isn’t buttery or oaky; it practically pirouettes out of the glass with orange blossom, lychee and citrus aromas.”
Viognier 2025 – 90 Points. “A gorgeous, rounded, complex mouthfeel with well-balanced acidity. Flavours of apricot jam, peach, mango, Anjou pear, honeycomb and subtle vanilla balanced by lively acidity.”
Blaufränkisch Rosé 2025 – 90 Points. “Bursting with vibrant aromas of strawberry, raspberry and pink grapefruit … it strikes a perfect balance between carefree summer sipping and genuine sophistication. Equal parts fun and seriously delicious.”
